Giorgio Armani

Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani is best known for his menswear line. He started his career working in department stores, designing shop windows and eventually working his way up to mensware apparel buyer . In 1960 Giorgio was hired by Nino Cerutti fashion house and 12 years later went on to work as an independent designer for different fashion houses before starting his own brand. In 1975 he started his first collection of menswear and launched his women line shortly after.
He launched his first women’s fragrance simply called Armani Perfume in 1982, and 2 years later the first Armani Pour Homme was released. In 1990 Gio for women was launched, followed by Aqua di Gio for both men and women. Followed by She and He under the Emporio Armani line in 1998. In 1999 the fashion house presented Armani Mania for women, but later discontinued for its lack of feminine fragrance. Over the years numerous fragrances have been launched, including Armani Code for him and her, Sensi perfume, a new more feminine version of Armani Mania Pour Femme and Pour Homme for men, and the most recent Armani Attitude and Emporio Armani Diamonds.
